Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using PowerCogs ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PowerCogs is a web application that provides enhanced tools for Discogs collectors, including want list monitoring, alert delivery, collection management, and marketplace analytics. The Service requires a Discogs account and uses the Discogs API.

3. Accounts

• You must have a valid Discogs account to use PowerCogs. You authenticate via Discogs OAuth — we do not store your Discogs password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscription Tiers

PowerCogs offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid features include increased monitoring limits, advanced alerts, and SMS notifications. Subscriptions are billed via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. SMS Alerts

SMS alert notifications are available on the Backstage tier. By providing your phone number and saving it in Settings, you explicitly consent to receive transactional SMS messages from PowerCogs about your want list matches.

• Message frequency varies based on want list activity. Maximum 100 SMS/month.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• To opt out, remove your phone number in Settings → Notifications → SMS Alerts, or contact us at ethan@powercogs.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate Discogs' Terms of Service
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. PowerCogs is not affiliated with Discogs. Marketplace data is sourced from the Discogs API and may be delayed or inaccurate. We are not responsible for missed listings, pricing inaccuracies, or decisions made based on alert data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PowerCogs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
